Competitiveness, Growth and the Environment at the 5th Advantage Forum

immagineForum2013The Fifth Advantage Financial Forum, “Global Perspectives Competitiveness & Growth”, with the endorsement of the President of the Italian Republic and under the aegis of the Italian Ministry of Environment, was held on May 13 in Milan, at the Four Seasons Hotel Auditorium.
The first panel, Global Economic Outlook & Competitiveness, addressed growth and competitiveness perspectives and focused especially on the Eurozone. Speakers included international economists Pankaj Ghemawat, Pierre-André Chiappori, Harald Uhlig, Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, and Carlo Cottarelli.
The second panel, Emerging Markets Growth Outlook, focused on perspectives in Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Discussants included emerging markets experts Mohsin Khan, Alain Bifani, Domenico Fanizza, Josie Bassinette.
The final panel focused on the Advantage Financial Ecological Footprint report, which correlates a number of performance and ecological governance indicators with others that reliably measure a company’s default risk, valuation and profitability. The implications of this research were discussed by Corrado Clini, former Italian Minister of Environment, and Francesco Confuorti, President of Advantage Financial.
